I
haven’t made any software changes this past year but I have been actively using
the program and basically finding it sufficient “as-is” for my needs. I’ve got all my burned CDs cataloged
and find that it really is practical to use this program to find music, backup
files etc. It works best for
cataloging reasonably large files – e.g. 3 meg mp3 files versus thousands of
very small files on each disk. This
is because the XML file gets so large that it is very slow to load.

I’ve finally had a chance to work on a machine with the
release version of msdev .Net to convert the program. It turns out the resource file format changed and I had to
run a conversion program. So now,
my new release v2.3 works on the released version of .Net. There are no other changes between 2.2
and 2.3.
