Locating the Bin in your House

My worms live in a utility room in the back of my apartment. This is a heated room, but remains fairly cool in the winter, which seems fine.

Some people store their worms under their kitchen sinks. In general anywhere tucked out of the way should be fine.

If you have a moderate climate (never freezing, never boiling) then you could keep them in a shaded area on your balcony or in your yard. There will be more bugs invading your bin, but no problems with fruit flies inside.
